Future Smart Food

Many health problems today are a result of diet—the food we eat. Any problems with weight gain are really a problem or inefficiency with your digestive system. We should theoretically be able to eat as much of anything as we'd like, and then we'd simply have larger bowel movements—flush out what our bodies don't need.

However, due to outdated evolutionary reasons, our bodies store this extra food as fat, just in case we face a famine anytime soon. But in today's world, famines are rare—at least in wealthy countries. So there should be a way to hack the digestive system, through some neurotransmitters, probiotic bacteria, chemical compounds, supplements, or some new technology involving gene-editing or nanotech.

I don’t know exactly what it would be, but there should be some way to hack our digestive system before or after we eat something. Let our bodies know that the excess calories in what we just ate do not need to be stored for later use as fat. They can be evacuated through waste.

This drug/compound/AI hack will be able to keep our bodies maintained at the perfect weight and body mass for our heights. We could theoretically set our weight exactly how we want, adjusting it lighter or heavier every day. To build muscle, you may still need to work out, but we should at least be able to get rid of excess fat storage with a simple fix.
