Crude Oil- Fuelling our lives and damaging it.

The World needs an alternative energy source ASAP, it’s not a matter of diversity anymore, it’s beyond making options to power our homes and industries. At the moment, global warming seems not like a threat, of course, depending on where you are on the planet, to people in the hotter climates, it may seems it’s getting hotter and sunnier while it may seem colder and with too much of snow in colder climates. But this ain’t just extreme weathers, it’s an indication that something is wrong somewhere.

Crude oil has been powering our civilization for decades since whaling oil, it took more time to realize that it causes more damage than good or maybe science just put a lid on it. Hydrocarbons are mostly responsible for all the damage in our atmosphere and ozone layer, of course the damages varies per type of carbon emissions in different regions. Unfortunately, most nations depend on fossil fuel at first and some still heavily depend on it for survival, hence not minding it’s dangers, it’s being mined and distilled daily with significant pollutions per barrel pumped.

Every living thing pays the price, From sea organisms to land animals, from crops to insects and humans. One often wonder why average lifespan keeps dropping rapidly. As at now, we can still salvage our environment to some extent but beyond a certain point we are doomed. Not everyone will be able to afford Tesla’s space travel and many like it that will come once we render Earth totally inhabitable, I hope that day will remain a myth and a hoax, only if we can salvage what we have left and ditch Fossil fuels as our major sources of power and energy.
