If you've played the older Civilization games or are new to the series this freebie is certainly something to check out. Likely one of, if not the best example of this style of game.

Civ is great. I come back to this title every year.
Agreed! It's a nice change of pace compared to the in your face games that seem to be the norm these days.
It's hilarious how fast the internet went from "Ew, epic games launcher" to "Ooh! Epic Games Launcher!"

After having to install the EA launcher or whatever the hell it was to play BF3 and then the epic launcher to play fortnite (when I played it) and other games I realized that maybe the purist nature of people preferring games on steam was a bygone era type thing. :/
The worst, in my opinion was Ubisoft. You open one of their titles in Steam and all of a sudden UPlay is popping up too. A launcher within a launcher. -_-
Got a few games that I set up that way just to have them in my Steam library.. Just point it to the executable launcher.
Launchers are sort of a pain in the ass though, totally agree.

Drat! So Civilization isn't free, its just free to play this week, and only if i install that loader... somehow, on linux.
I believe its free forever once you attach it to your account.. It adds it to your account and then you can download it at your leisure.
At least that is how Just Cause 4 giveaway from these guys worked.

Did you say you see GTA ? I originally DL'd Epic launcher to get to GTA ... argh ha ...
I missed that GTA giveaway so I don't have it.. However the Just Cause 4 giveaway they deed 2 weeks ago is still there.. Very odd.
