Great places to get PC games for cheap

Many PC gamers have probably heard of Steam key reseller sites like G2A which have always been in a bit of a legal gray area. While I'll admit that I've bought Steam keys from similar sites and never had any issues, a lot of gamers and game developers find their practices to be a bit shady to say the least and prefer to avoid them outright. This list won't feature any of those sites, but instead we'll be looking at other sites that I've used before to get both really cheap (and sometimes free) games.

Humble Bundle

I really really love Humble Bundle and have bought quite a few games from it. They stand out from other sites on this list because not only can you basically set whatever price that you wish for the game bundles that you buy from them, but also that you can set exactly how much of your money goes to the developers, to charities, and to Humble Bundle themselves. You used to be able to buy game bundles for as cheap as a penny, but now they have the minimum price at $1 which is still really good for what you usually get. Oftentimes, you'll see indie titles but on occasion some bigger and more well known titles come into the mix.

They also have a monthly subscription for $12 a month which often boasts more AAA titles. Just in the past few months I've seen titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, and Call of Duty: WW2 just to name a few. You can cancel it at any times and your games are yours to keep forever after that.

To date, Humble Bundle has raised over $160 million dollars for various charities which is just incredible!

Epic Games Store

The newest entry on this list is the Epic Games Store. While it was only launched sometime last year, the Epic Games Store provides something that many others don't... a new free game every week! I'm sure that they have great sales on games, but without even needing to put in a credit card, you can claim whatever free game they throw your way each week to add it to your library. Of course, the games that you get are yours to keep forever. I've only used it a couple times, but from what I've experienced as well as other gamers, it seems to be something that every PC gamer should at least look into. Who doesn't love free games after all?

GOG

GOG (which stands for Good Old Games if you was curious) is a site that's quite similar to Steam, but it varies in a few different ways. The first is that you won't see quite as many AAA titles on it as Steam, but it does tend to offer way better sales and much more often than Steam. From what I've heard, the games that they sell are DRM-free. I won't really get into the details of it, but oftentimes DRM-free games tend to run a little bit better than games that have DRM. You can pick up such titles as The Witcher 3, Undertale, Firewatch, some Star Wars games, and some Fallout games as well as others. If you shop around, you may just see some great games on sale that you haven't bought yet!

That's it for this list! I'm sure there's a few other good ones that I haven't heard of, but feel free to leave them in the comments below!
