Steem-Roller.com v0.7.5 Release Will be Delayed in Order to Finish Planned Functionality, Redesign Mobile Version & Test!

Hate to announce that the planned launch for the end of February of the next Steem-Roller.com patch v0.7.5 is being pushed back in order to finish off some functionality and go through a proper testing cycle in order to ensure that no game breaking bugs or security issues are intorudiced into the wild. While a number of the planned functionalities for the next patch have been implemented and a large number of back end patching has been done in order to ensure a lag free gaming experience the fact of the matter is the patch is simply not ready, due in part to getting a bit stifled on development with all this STEEMTRON uncertainty floating around.

With all this being said I don't mind posting a small preview of stuff already implemented in the development version in some pictures below to tide folks over until the launch of v0.7.5:

Users will be able to link their prior bets in the rollbox by simply adding a # sign and then the bet number. Not only does this allow people to share their bets to show off, but also allows other people to be able to verify the provably fair system on a 3rd party website, which increases transparency and ensures that all parties can check the validity of a players rolls. Demand features like this on all online gaming sites!

Stop loss has been added to the "Auto Bet" tab for folks who subscribe to a monthly VIP membership on the site. If this is set the Auto Bet function will stop itself ensuring the player doesn't lose it all.

Most other STEEM gaming sites don't really go out of their way in order to show you all the data needed to check the provable fairness of your own rolls or other users rolls to ensure the site isn't cheating players. This next update will allow you to check any roll, yours or another players for validity on a 3rd party website in order to ensure the site is being fair. Being able to check on a 3rd party website not owned by the site operator is imperative to any provably fair system, and sites that do not allow 3rd party verification should be scrutinized and avoided due to the potential risk of roll rigging.

image.png

Persisting user and high roller tabs that load on login will help both players and investors see what has happened recently on the site in order to convey some form of continuation between sessions. I believe it's important to keep high roller data and whatnot in front of people not only as a means of bragging rights but also for investors to see where their gains are coming from on their invested & leveraged STEEM.

The back end of the faucet code has been worked on and the limits for VIP members have been lifted from 10 claims per a day up to 40 claims. This opens up the potential for VIP members to claim up to 40 STEEM a day provided they wager enough to be eligible for such payouts. Non-VIP users are able to claim 10 times a day and all users have a 5 minute delay between claiming in order to prevent them from draining the faucets. It should be noted here as well that VIP members can claim faucet with a balance, where as regular users must have a balance of 0 in order to claim.

VIP memberships can stack! For 10 STEEM per 30 days you get access to all the current and future VIP perks on the site. On the currentyl live v0.7.421 this simply means a daily faucet claim increase from 10 to 40, but in the upcoming v0.7.5 update their will be lots of more features, some of which are listed above.

Lots of Back-End Optimization

A lot of what has been worked on since the last patch has to do with the back end running of the site and thus taking pictures of a bunch of code won't really do much for many. One huge step towards the completion of the site has taken place in regards to creating more multi-threaded modules on the back end in order to attempt to decrease site load times and take the strain off of the main server application when doing various things such as bet looking up or depositing. While NodeJS is single threaded by nature is is possible to create multi-threaded applications by the use of spawning child processes which work independently of the main application thread, but can send and receive data from their parent thread.

Not all of the features or progress on the site is listed above and this list should not be taken to be a complete list of what has been worked on or coming in v0.7.5. Lots of work still needs to be done and while I'm hesitant to put out any launch dates for the next version it should be done within the next few weeks if all goes well and no bad luck comes down the pipeline. So far the live site has had nearly 38,500,000 rolls served to players so far making this the most rolled on STEEM game on the chain by far so far.. Which isn't bad considering this is still very much an alpha version of the site.

Yeah.. You originally used the login / password route and thus it sees it as wrong password. Go login with your username and password.

If you need me to reset your password, let me know on discord via PM.
