Glad to announce that the Steem-roller.com site has been accepted to be listed on the crypto directory site StateOfTheDApps.com as of today. On Jan 31st 2020 I'd put in a request to have the site listed on their crypto site directory and got an email today stating that the site has been accepted and is now shown to anyone wishing to check their website out. This is a big step for Steem-roller.com as previously the site was only listed on STEEM posts with no 3rd party directory listing. While the state of the Steem-roller.com site is still very much an alpha ( or horrible beta ) the fact that we've got 3rd party sites letting us list the site on their directory is a good sign. Obviously someone from the StateOfTheDApps.com site had to come and check the site out in order for it to be listed and it got their seal of approval, so with that being said it's a huge step forward for both the Steem-roller.com site and our STEEM community as both get more exposure because of this.

The whole point of the Steem-roller.com platform is to act as an onboarding mechanism for gamblers and investors looking to have a state of the art (in regards to roll speed and ease of deposit/withdrawal of funds) experience. More services where STEEM changes hands is one of the things that will keep the ecosystem we're building from becoming stagnant, and by offering a place for STEEM holders to securely gamble as well as invest their STEEM without having limitations such as powerdowns or waits to move funds around is what I believe to be the future driving force between people buying and holding STEEM in order to reap the benefits offered on sites such as the one being built at Steem-roller.com. While still very much an online alpha test and not a true representation of the final product, compared to the other games allowing STEEM to be used on them the Steem-roller.com site is certainly ahead of the pack. With further development and polishing it will be a world class service.

It isn't uncommon so far on the site for people to have returns in the multiples of hundreds of percents. One user had invested 2 STEEM at a lower leverage level and was surprised to return to 5 STEEM in their investment. This was due to gamblers coming and losing their bets, which, given the 1% house edge on the site, is a very real possibility with extended betting sessions. By offering not one but a few reasons to buy and hold STEEM, either to test your luck gambling or to invest in the bankroll essentially betting against the gamblers the Steem-roller.com platform is gearing up to be one of the "killer apps" on the STEEM blockchain. Without use cases or investment vehicles that allow for high liquidity and moving of funds the growth of the STEEM community and market cap would be stifled, however with this being said as a 1 man development team I'm focused on bringing added value to the entire network by deploying the Steem-roller.com platform and trying my hardest to develop it as quickly as possible given the non-existent development budget and lack of a engineering team beside myself.

So far the platform has about 300 users that have come to check it out. With roughly 36,500,000 bets so far served and nearly 3,000,000 STEEM wagered the site has taken in 18,575 STEEM in profits which has been distributed to investors in the bankroll. With a few users betting basically 24/7 the chance to gain on STEEM investments into the bankroll is quite real, with some days the site seeing massive amounts of STEEM wagered and with it large loses and wins. While it is possible to deploy up to 99x leverage on your bankroll investments it is not advised as those utilizing abnormally high leverage amounts tend to get their capital wiped out in the swings of gamblers sessions when they hit luck streaks. Leverage and invested amount can be changed on the fly to suit current action going on with the site.

As with any platform in the alpha development stage the Steem-roller.com site is very likely to contain small bugs here or there given it's still very much under active development. Some issues may arise between different browsers or devices and while every step in testing during development is being done to prevent game breaking bugs they may still occur. Currently the mobile rendering of the site is flawwed and weird bugs such as forcing firefox users to log in again after claiming faucet are a few little kinks still needing to be worked out. The site also is currently displaying malformed links in chat as well, but all issues listed are being worked on and will likely be fixed within the next few weeks.
