Apple Watch (Series 7)

I long suspected that I get crappy sleep but now I have data to prove it.

Fun!

Seriously, this is one of the many features I’m looking forward to exploring with my belated Father’s Day/wedding anniversary gift.

It’s the Apple Watch Series 7, and I wasn’t in a hurry to get one until I realised just how much more expensive they are in the UK.

I used to use a Series 1 watch (confusingly not the first model of the series) but I got super crappy battery life.

This model hardware, and the improvements in WatchOS seem to have improved that situation by a lot.

You do need a USB-C charger now, which I’m loathe to do while still in Canada, so currently I’m stuck using my laptop or car for charging.

With the watch I got a blue “solo” band, which is kind of like a big elastic band, but my original, adjustable black strap is still compatible.

So far the experience has been great and I am finding I need my phone on my person less and less but perhaps things will change after the novelty wears off.

WatchOS is currently in developer beta with public beta due in a few weeks, that should (along with new models) improve the experience even more …
