Defining Moment as a Student

There were two defining moments that highlighted my school days. First was in Grade 1 when I was awarded an "Honorable Mention".

Then my father transferred me to another school prior to enrolling in Grade 2. From then on I was a nobody until I graduated in Grade 6 (elementary).

Then I changed school again prior to enrolling in Grade 7 (high school) and then an unexpected happened.

There were no Grade 11 and 12 at the time

One day when our first grading cards were about to be given to us I was about to enter our classroom when my classmates chanted, Top 1!, Top 1!, Top 1! while clapping their hands.

I was surprised and in disbelief, I don't know that it was me they are chanting on. So, I asked one of my chanting classmates, "Whose the Top 1?"

You are, she replied.

I finished my First Year High School as a First Honor on my section that year, it was 1994

From then one I was a consistent Top 5 student in each of every section that I was in until I graduated in high school.
