Our Journey Building the LGU-TLDC Intelligent Training and Analytics System
Hello everyone!
I would like to share our capstone project journey as BSIS students. Over the past few months, my team and I have been developing the LGU-TLDC Intelligent Training and Analytics System, a project designed to improve the training application process of the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC).
We chose this project because we wanted to develop a system that addresses a real-world problem while helping us apply the knowledge and skills we learned throughout our academic journey. Our goal is to create a solution that can make processes more efficient and accessible for both applicants and administrators.
After conducting interviews and gathering information, we discovered that managing applicant information, training records, and reports can become challenging as the number of applicants continues to increase. This inspired us to develop a system that could help streamline these processes and improve overall efficiency.
Our proposed solution is an integrated system consisting of a web-based platform for administrators and a mobile application for applicants. Through the mobile application, users can view available training programs, submit applications, and access important information. On the other hand, administrators can manage applicants, monitor training activities, generate reports, and access analytics through the web-based dashboard.
One of the main goals of our project is to make the application process more efficient, organized, and accessible. We also incorporated analytics features to help administrators gain insights from collected data and support better decision-making.
The development of this project has been both exciting and challenging. From designing the user interface to building the database and connecting the mobile application with the web system, our team has encountered many obstacles that helped us learn and grow as future IT professionals.
This project has already taught us valuable lessons in teamwork, problem-solving, and software development. Although we still have challenges ahead, we are excited to continue improving the system and preparing it for deployment.

Thank you for reading and supporting our journey. In my next post, I will share more about the planning and development process behind our capstone project.

Really enjoyed reading about your LGU-TLDC Intelligent Training and Analytics System, especially the part where you combined a web dashboard for administrators with a mobile app for applicants. It’s clear you’re solving a real bottleneck with applicant records, training logs, and reporting as the number of applicants grows, and that kind of practical capstone work is exactly where Hive readers can appreciate the process. Since you’re building around analytics and system growth, you might find hivestats.io useful for tracking account progress and @leo.voter helpful if you start publishing more quality updates about the project. What was the hardest part for your team so far: the database design, the mobile app integration, or the analytics side?

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to read our post.
Among the challenges we encountered, the mobile app integration was the most difficult part. Since our project consists of both a web-based admin system and a mobile application for applicants, we had to ensure that data was properly connected and synchronized between the two platforms. This required a lot of testing, debugging, and adjustments throughout the development process.
Despite these challenges, the experience helped us improve our technical skills and teamwork. We look forward to sharing more updates about our capstone journey in future posts.
