Why Is Whiskey Good For A Cough?
"A Carnegie Mellon study showed that moderate drinkers had increased resistence to viral infections. While booze won’t heal you, small amounts of liquor can help relieve the symptoms of sore throats, muscle pain, congestion and sleeplessness (duh). Enter, the Hot Toddy: a tablespoon or so of honey and healthy squeeze of lemon juice mixed into half hot water and half whiskey, with a teabag and couple of whole cloves if you like."

I have found whiskey can be useful for almost any circumstance and condition :-)
Does it give you more energy? I seem to be real productive when I have a little bit of wine throughout the day.
No, I don't think it does, unless I drink a lot. Then I can get off the hook. :-)
thank you for the recipe, have a nice weekend
There for a second I thought you were picking up my bad habit of being long winded. Everyone's trying their hardest not to cough now a days as it strikes fear in people, a little whiskey could have come in handy early this morning when I stopped at a gas station to get gas and suffered a coughing attack from something that got stuck in my throat. I was standing in line at the walk up window (it was early, early and they hadn't opened for the day) when it happened, I had my mask on but had to take it off so I turned to step a couple feet back and the other two people walking towards the window froze in fear...that look on their faces, you'd thought I was one of the zombies in the walking dead the way they were looking at me. lol.
Never! lol
