Hello @quantumg

You have excellent advice for helping dogs that are nervous.

This is good talking about how the human behavior can convey to the dog what is happening.

My nephew, unfortunately, behaved badly and negative yesterday and his dog went berserk last night and gets horribly terrified. My nephew's behavior during the day did not help and he yells at the dog all the time to shut up when the dog barks. At least my nephew took the dog into his room but he does give him drugs like Tylenol. I can't communitcate well with my nephew and cannot interfere. But the advice is good for me when I have a dog in the future. Maybe next year my nephew can take him on a walk before the fireworks. My nephew had hip replacement surgery and he can't walk much yet. The dog is big and gets out of control so I cannot take him on a walk or I would be dragged down the street!

Thank you.

Barb
