RE: So Long Thailand, You Will Be Missed - Warning A LOT of pictures

Absolutely the best Thailand post I have read at any time here. You have absolutely 'got it' in just a few days here.

If I were going to write about why I love it here so much I'd simply copy what you wrote, especially the simple wandering around the streets taking pictures, its a never-ending cacophony of new sights, smells and sensations and it's so unlike the hygenic, mollycoddled world from which we came. Even after 10 years of travelling in SE Asia followed by 9 years living here, there is something new each day that makes me smile, grimace andleaves me bewildered at someone's thought process!!

The personal touch at the end made a brilliant post, perfect.

OK, so a slight reality check! The food. it is delicious and fresh but the chemical use here is horrendous! So much so that a few years back there were health warnings issued about some of the fruit, I cant remember which ones! But it definitely does taste fresher and there is certainly not as much processing as in the west.

So happy you went away with such a great impression and that life appears to be treating you so well now. Long may that continue.

Best wishes to you and your family and thanks for the posts, its been like reading an awestruck and exciting 5-year-olds emotion with the writing skills of an old sage!!

Thanks for the awesome comment. Thailand had a special place in our hearts before we even got there. It felt like we came home. I grew up in Asia and it was so nice to be back to this type of culture and let my wife experience it as well. We can’t wait to go back and make it our home.
