The key is this is a greatly exaggerated hoax, but I'm still trying to figure out why...

Absolutely. Whether or not there is a virus, there certainly isn't any large-scale threat (outside the normal range of flus & colds at least.)

The why seems pretty clear (disparate interests finding a common solution):

  • Bill Gates has been waiting for a "pandemic" to roll out mandatory vaccines and RFID chips ("ID2020")
  • The markets were due for another huge collapse any day (much bigger bubble than 2008), and this gives an excuse that leaves the ones who caused it without the guilt.
  • Communities have been fighting back against 5G, and they were able to use everyone being home ("not enough speedz") as an excuse to force it at the federal level.
  • Money can have germs, so now the people will literally beg for the cashless rollout.
  • General sociopathic evil & power-grabbing, as per usual.
