If I do nothing else today (Thursday)...

...I'm gonna at least get all the "loose" parts for my current rig's new case fitted; I might take some photos of the process too, if only for something to show what I'm up to! Essentially, the bits would be a couple of fans, a 700W PSU, and a 500GB SSD to go between my boot SSD and the SSHD I currently use as a data drive! Given that I can no longer stream on Linux (everything else is fine atm), it would become a priority to reinstall that fresh, whilst also installing a later version of Linux Mint (20.x as opposed to 18.3), as that'll hopefully mean that I can install more recent versions of OpenTTD, Pioneer Space Sim, and ScummVM.

Also, my Toshiba Satellite Pro 420CDT arrived earlier today, and I gave it a quick boot, and whilst it boots up okay (excepting the fact a new CMOS battery is needed, and I probably need to tweak some settings in the BIOS), Windows 95 is running very slow on it, so once I find the drivers for everything (and locate the product key and make a note of it), I'm gonna do a reinstall of it, and as much stuff original to it as I can so it'll boot up a bit faster. I may also replace the mechanical HDD with a CF card or SD card too via an IDE adaptor, but first thing's first, I want to restore it to as fresh as possible with how it currently is (meaning some cleaning too) before I start adding in new hardware.

I do think that Win95 OSR 2.5 might be a better install later on, just so it is a bit more "modern", at least by retro laptop standards, especially as that means more stability too! Win98 SE may be another option too, but I'll have to consider that when I get around to sorting things out, especially as I'll be wanting to film this, given that I won't be filming my current rig's update!
