How To Posts: One Good Thing

avatar

One of the hallmarks of being on the cutting edge of social media innovation on Hive, is that the technology changes rapidly and there isn't always an obvious instruction book. Which makes the How To posts one finds in Hive just incredibly important.

Today I came across a post from @gastontrussi about How To Make a Markdown Clickable Image Grid with External Links.

And it reminded me again of how giving people in hive are with their knowledge and posting tricks for better presentation. And after all, better post presentation helps with getting noticed and gaining more support for your content. Not everyone who comes to Hive is an NFT guru or tech genius, and it is really of great credit that basic knowledge is shared so freely.

So that's the One Good Thing I'd like to honour in the Hive community today. And I'd like to give 25% of the post rewards from this post to @gastontrussi as a small token of appreciation for his sharing.

Also I'd love to shout out to @riverflows and @justinparke who are two others I'm in contact with who have helped endlessly in sharing "how to" content with new Hivers.

Not sure we appreciate this aspect of the Hive community enough. In a Decentralized world, WE are the ones who have to step up, support one another, explain how and painstakingly share the detail of HOW for the Luddites in the room. Me included. 😆

Grateful for Good Things, Every day.

@artemisshares is sharing ONE GOOD THING on Hive every day - things happening here on Hive, in the crypto community or simply in the big wide world out there. Cos changing our focus is the beginning of changing the world.

Very true :<)

There's so many generous and helpful people on here.
It's probably one of the reasons why I just can't leave this place
( also because I try to help and give, myself, wherever and whenever I can ).

Feliz ano novo/ Gelukkig nieuwjaar!

En een knuffel uit Portugal

You, too, have been one of the great givers I have the pleasure to know, @vincentnijman. Wish you blessings for the New Year in all its crazy unfolding.

En een knuffel terug uit lekker warme Thailande. x

I love that people all have different things to blog and share about, and that the sheer diversity is growing constantly too.

Yes, I agree. There's always something to read/watch and share for everyone of us.

Have a nice weekend!

Aw, thanks @artemislives for your appreciation!!! It's been a while since I've posted a 'newbie how to' post - I feel I've done it so much that it's all out there now but you know how HIVE works - your posts disappear in the melee. I used to love doing them . Always happy to help. Funny, at our farewell lunch the speech my head of department gave about me highlighted how much I would share and send worksheets and lessons round to everyone and that they'll miss that. It's nice to be appreciated. I lvoe this gratitude series of yours!

I think one of the true GIFTS on Hive I use very, very often, is hiveseaercher.com Cos exactly that... there is SO MUCH good stuff posted years ago that is quietly sitting there for us to access, learn from and use.

Thanks for another thing to remember I'm grateful for. Including you.
