Yep - I'll still buy an iPhone probably, but I'm not as excited by their updates as I was in the first years :-) Mine is already more than 5 years old (iPhone6) and as long as it works I don't see the value of buying a new one :D Maybe once I buy it I'll love a newer camera as I use that a lot, but it's not enough reason to buy new. Trying to consume less added to my decision to not buy new as well by the way, not just the lesser level of excitement, but still.

With the phones, I think the whole frenzy to bring out a new one every year is too much and I mean upgrading every 5 or so years seems fine. I'm going to buy a new battery and see how that lasts otherwise its solid
Mostly a marketing ploy and FOMO to upgrade. I swear if it wasn't for crypto I probably would spend but now I'm just looking for new investment opportunities
