It is good to be sincere as you have just exppressed yourself instead of pretence. But, I encourage you to have a belief in God because that is reasonable.
If you consider the creation all around us, you will at least agree that it couldn't have been by chance that it happened. Something must have caused creation to happen. That something is God.
You may not understand the way anybody is explaining God to you but, if you desire and ask that God who knows everything, I believe that one day He will open your spirit mind to see the light. You may not see the whole light at a go. It is very likely to be a gradual process.
