it will be hard to explain you, but i will try! :)
So:
1- go to your Wallet icon.
2- u can swipe to left 3 times and then go right 3 times - this is the options that eSteem gives u to exchange your tokens
a) first choice "ESTM" - this is token, as u can see from the right sight on the numbers it has little triangle pointing bottom, when u click it will apear little window it this options: Gift, Promote, Boost
b) second choice(swipe left one time)"HIVE" - there is 2 triangles:
-first one gives u: Transfer, To saving, Power UP
-second one gives u : Withdraw HIVE
c) third choice(swipe left one more time) "HBD-hive dollar" - there is 2 triangles:
-first one gives u: transfer, to saving, convert
-second Withdraw HBD
d) last one(swipe left one more time) "HIVE power" - with one triangle and two options:
- Delegate
- Power Down
This is a lot of information and if u confused, tell me! :) I will try to add pictures.
About option a) what should I select to convert my ESTM into Hiv, or power up?
Option a is for boosting your posts.
Ok, and then after boosting my post, how do I get Hive?
u get hive when some one give u(like your post)or rewarded about some achivement
