RE: SundayThoughts: Blockchain, Decentralization and Distributed Ledger Technology! You either believe in them or you don't. Those that do, shouldn't knock those that don't and vice versa.

When talking to people about crypto-currencies and blockchains I typically get the reaction that it is a fad.
I respect their opinion and they usually respect my opinion of blockchains.

There are many ICO's that have not produced since the surge of ICO's in 2017. I can see how many have such an opinion of blockchains. And most of the people I talk to are aware of the down-turn in Bitcoin prices in 2018.

However, there are a few blockchains that have done well.

I still promote SteemIt and the STEEM blockchain as much as possible. And I have also been telling people about the THETA blockchain.

I know that in a few years the people who have been telling me that blockchain is a fad will be asking me for advice about wallets and buying crypto-currencies.

It seems like in the modern countries like the U.S. we are still early adopters. But in other parts of the world, crypto-currencies and blockchains are catching on like wild-fire.

People in the U.S. still have a lot of faith in government and banks. In some ways we have it too easy. Alan Greenspan is quoted as saying it is "only a matter of time" before negative interest rates spread to the U.S.

In my opinion, when negative interest rates hit our bank accounts there will be far more interest in Bitcoin.

Thanks for the SundayThoughts!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week!
Steem on,
Mike

I couldn't agree more!

Hopefully, people will start to realize what is happening and they will begin to adopt cyrptocurrencies and also gold/silver.

Hi Mike

As it's already been mentioned, I too could not agree more!

Negative interest will have a huge impact on the way people will look at the conventional Banking System.

Once negative interest rates become a norm on the Old System, and they will, it will be hard to get off them.

The archaic and antiquated system of the 1970's is slowly but surely dying.!!

Have a great rest the weekend Mike.

Regards

Stephen
