Italy and Blockchain investments: Agriculture 4.0

An interesting article published by the online magazine Cryptonimist, on the basis of the study conducted by the Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Observatory of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, revealed that in 2019 investments in blockchain technology by companies in Italy increased by 100%. We are still talking about a relatively low investment, around 30 million euros, but it is still an encouraging sign when compared to a few years ago.

The percentage of companies that have started investing in the sector is very low compared to those in the area. But to quote a phrase from the film Big Trouble in Little China "That's how it all began .... from the very young ..."

What is interesting is that a large part of the companies that have invested in the blockchain are part of the Agri-food sector, specifically in the tracing of the product chain. The Italians are a people very attentive to what they consume and especially to the origin of food products.

For some time, the authorities in Italy have made the obligation to have labels of origin of the food present in supermarkets but also in small markets or shops. For example, it is known that some chains of companies that produce pasta import products such as wheat from non-European countries. Or some companies that bottle and sell olive oil actually import it from non-European countries.

It is known that many products sold on supermarket shelves do not yet have a certain origin. For this reason, Italian companies, meeting the needs of their customers and products, firmly believe that blockchain is the technology necessary to identify and record the origin of the products on the market and the raw materials they are made of.

All this information would be accessible to all customers in an easy and safe way, creating great satisfaction but also simplifying the management of companies and above all reducing costs. The blockchain will be the turning point for Italian agriculture and beyond, that is a new type of agriculture based on technological innovation, food safety and eco-sustainability.

The blockchain is not just Bitcoin, market strategies and pump & dump. Blockchain is a technology created to support and improve human life. Of all the projects existing on the CoinMarketCap market today, only those capable of developing real utility to the community will survive.

I am convinced that the STEEM project falls within the close circle of cryptocurrencies that can contribute positively to the improvement of human life, both within the company and in the private sector. Making micropayments quickly and without costs for the customer and the operator represents a turning point in the worldwide financial system. But finance is only part of the potential that STEEM aspires to.

The possible fields of action are in fact infinite. The blockchain is the future and STEEM will be a protagonist together with some existing projects and many new projects to come.

Parliamo ancora di un investimento relativamente basso, circa 30 milioni di euro, ma è comunque un segnale incoraggiante se paragonato a pochissimi anni fa.

La percentuale delle aziende che ha iniziato ad investire nel settore è bassissima rispetto a quelle presenti nel territorio. Ma per citare un frase del film Grossi Guaio a Chinatown "E'così che tutto ebbe inizio... dal molto piccolo..."

Ciò che è interessante è che una buona parte delle aziende che hanno investito nella blockchain fanno parte del settore Agroalimentare, nello specifico nella tracciatura della filiera dei prodotti. Gli italiani sono un popolo molto attento a ciò che consumano e sopratutto alla provenienza dei prodotti alimentari.

Già da tempo le autorità in Italia hanno reso l'obbligo delle presenza di etichette di provenienza degli alimenti presenti nei supermercati ma anche nei piccoli market o botteghe. Ad esempio, è noto come alcune catene di aziende che producono pasta, importino prodotti come il grano da paesi extraeuropei. Oppure alcune aziende che imbottigliano e vendono olio d'oliva in realtà lo importano da nazioni extraeuropei.

E' noto come tantissimi prodotti venduti sugli scaffali dei supermercati, non abbiano ancora una provenienza certa. Per questo motivo le aziende italiane, andando incontro alle esigenze dei propri clienti e dei propri prodotti, credono fermamente che la blockchain sia la tecnologia necessaria per identificare e registrare l'origine dei prodotti in commercio e delle materie prime di cui sono composte.

Tutte queste informazioni sarebbero accessibili a tutti i clienti in modo facile e sicuro, creando grande soddisfazione ma anche semplificando la gestione delle aziende e soprattutto abbattendo i costi. La blockchain sarà l'elemento di svolta per l'Agricoltura italiana e non solo, ossia un nuovo tipo di agricoltura fondato sull'innovazione tecnologica, sicurezza alimentare ed eco-sostenibilità.

La blockchain non è solo Bitcoin, strategie di mercato e pump & dump. La blockchain è una tecnologia creata per supportare e migliorare la vita dell'uomo. Tra tutti i progetti esistenti oggi sul mercato di CoinMarketCap, sopravviveranno solo quelli in grado di sviluppare una reale utilità alla comunità.

Sono convinto che il progetto STEEM rientri nella stretta cerchia di criptovalute che possono contribuire in modo positivo al miglioramento dello vita dell'uomo, sia in ambito aziendale e sia nel privato. Effettuare micropagamenti in tempi celeri e senza costi per il cliente e per l'esercente rappresenta una chiave di svolta nel sistema finanziario mondiale. MA la finanza è solo una parte delle potenzialità a cui STEEM ambisce.

I possibili campi d'azione sono di fatto infiniti. La blockchain è il futuro e STEEM sarà una protagonista assieme ad alcuni progetti esistenti e a tanti nuovi progetti che verranno.
