Augmented Reality : A New Reality?

Since the beginning of Life Human on Earth has always looked ahead in making life easier and simpler according to imagination of Human Mind. Going through all that Human Mind has developed incredible things from a wheel to complex machines but with time the imagination has been taken a new phase or a new era of imagination. Human used to think of some stuff inside head such as dreams or thoughts but why not make these dreams real or physical to live in? Now here is where Augmented Reality came in ...

Researchers and Engineers are pulling graphics out of our television screen or computer display and integrating them into real-world environments. This new technology is known as augmented reality, the line between what's real and what's computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell have faded now. All the 5 senses of Human body would be engaged in it. Isn't it new Phase or what?

In 1968 Ivan Sutherland made first head mounted Display System.It was suspended from ceiling and users could only see simple wire frame drawings with it. Since then AR has developed by leaps and bound. Now its being used in Mobile Phones, Theaters and Field of Medical Research. Companies such as Google has Google Glass it that is designed in the shape of a pair of eyeglasses. It provides features such as Touch pad, Camera and Display. Mahei creates the first generation of augmented reality enhanced educational toys in 2014. Similarly Microsoft has Windows Holographic and the HoloLens augmented reality headset. The headset utilities various sensors and a processing unit to blend high definition "holograms" with the real world. Medical startup SimX is using Meta headsets to create simulations that train doctors, enabling them to see a virtual patient one that could be wounded or vomiting according to scenario assigned to trainee. The trainees interact with the patient and can take an ultrasound or use a stethoscope for simple checkup which is safer than trails with real patients.

Augmented reality is changing the way we view the world or at least the way its users see the world. Just Imagine yourself walking or driving down the street. With augmented reality (AR) displays, which will eventually look much like a normal pair of glasses, informative graphics will appear in your field of view, and audio will coincide with whatever you see. These enhancements will be refreshed continually to reflect the movements of your head. Making your decisions productive and easier. Augmented Reality is making mankind's dream of perfect life one step closer.

With few games making a splash around the globe such as Pokemon Go. I can assure we have only seen tip of an iceberg. Excited Right? Lets Wait and See what future holds for us.
