here are some images of my process :

as you can see the head of mannequin thing was really weird at start but Douglas helped a lot by describing the thing very well and it came out quite creepy in the end. :)

It looks more like those belly speak dolls as mannequin but might be I have the wrong word in mind.

hello ! thank you so much - in fact the mannequin is the big one which is holding a ventriloquist-puppet,which in turn has a wax doll on it´s lap which then has a voodoo doll which is turning the handle of a jack in the box.... :)

hello ! thank you so much. keep drawing and you will be good at drawing anything. think of what you draw just as form and shadow - don´t approach it like "i´m drawing a hand" just draw form,shadow and light.

I think that the mannequin got pretty scared because he saw the face of that little doll that he was holding :D I must say that it is not very pleasant to look at her :)

Great painting! I like that you corrected his face as it was indeed weird at the beginning..

I'm sure he is very happy with the cover. The novel will probably be awesome too :)
