Ballpoint Pen On Paper - Patience

avatar

Hello steemains!

Today, I want to show you the ballpoint portrait drawing I have been working on for the past few months. I started this work since April last two months and the work has seen other works completed before it.

Sometimes I just wish I could do magic and complete the work or close my eyes and open and it is completed but unfortunately it is impossible.

Sometimes am being tempted to go contrary to the stipulated standard but I had to hold myself and wait for the right moment, the appointed time. To be patient enough and complete it. That's what art had thought me #patience.

I believe patience is one of the keys to success. It is what brings out the quality in us.

I hope you stick around to see my final piece.

Thank you.

Well it's actually Pen. Ballpoint pen precisely and I used three different pens - black, deep blue and light blue. So non has been exhausted but about to.

You are really good at this. I'm learning to draw and only use pencils. I know there's an eraser on my desk that I can use in case something I don't like.
You on the other hand don't have that option. i don't know how you can do a drawing with a ball point pen, honestly. Hats off, you're great!

I started with pencil too and upgraded to pen which is my favourite median. We all gat to start somewhere no matter how poor we are. We can still get better in the process if we persevere.

Though I do pencil work if requested, I don't like while drawing and I stop on the way to sharpen my pencil or use eraser. I prefer flowing with pen cause it makes me to be more careful and focused.

You can give it a try!

You really need patience to make such drawing like this and only real artist can. Know about different types drawing such as Pencil drawing, oil sketch etc but ball point sketching seems to new to me and you have got an excellent perfection in it..

Oh really? At least you've seen it now and it won't be a new thing to you. Been years I fell in love with pen and started practicing it. Making realistic drawing with pen requres a hole lot of time, patience and concentration. One single mistake could disrupt the whole work.

I didn't know that it was possible to do such a drawing with a simply ballpoint pen! WOW! I can't see a single line that would be showing and wouldn't belong to the drawing. It's amazing.

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your curie vote! You deserved it for this one :)

People hardly believe even when they see you working on it. Some will still ask "are you the one doing this?"

And for the single line, I took my time to lay my tones over and over again on the strokes. Unlike pencil where you can blend, you have to shade repeatedly to get your texture and form.

Thank you.
