Editing my Twitter profile (X). Some advices

In my experience on Twitter (X), I can tell you several things. The first is that a picture is worth a thousand words. A very famous saying, and with all weight.

When I started, I had the idea of creating a biography that was a bit quirky. So I generated it with an online tool. But, since I was not satisfied, I added other things.

The result was: Administrator - Writer. I love flowers and eating spaghetti.

For me, a masterpiece. However, the biography of any social network describes you. It's your resume, only, in a few concise words.

No one was following me. People were not interested in my profile, not even bots. Which just goes to show how terrible it was.

So, I decided to change it, over and over again. Up to the current result.

As you can see, I wanted to specify my country, due to some projects on the web, where I seek to contribute my grain of sand to tourism.

On the second line, put my profession (Management), and my passion (writing).

The third line is a complement to the previous one, because I specify my work, available on Wattpad, as well as the places where I publish my articles (web3).

And finally, the fourth line, where I add something that I consider characterizes me, love in the things I do.

I feel these words describe me well. It took a while to get to it. However, I consider it a decent, neat, and timely biography.

Do not abuse hashtags

For a long time, social networks have shown us that the use of hashtags positions and increases visibility. Which is true.

But, on Twitter (X), it's different. These are known only to keep the emphasis on something specific. Suppose you create a label for your book, this would be an example. This is a common thing among writers.

You can also use them to identify your brand. In my biography I only use two. Which are more than enough.

All this because, in this social network, the excess of hashtags prevents the algorithm from positioning you.

In addition to giving an exaggerated, messy image. Here I give you an example.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, we can also see the order of the information.

Separating into several lines, independent ideas will reflect a cleaner biography. Helping you visualize the message you want to convey.

Cover and profile photo.

Both are points that deserve attention. Your cover, like your biography, must reflect what you transmit.

Your profile photo can be a photograph, logo or the image of the character you represent.

Try to make this original, and clear. Avoid the classic default Facebook or WhatsApp profile photos. Remember that it is the face of your profile, and you must take care of it.

While your cover or banner, you can do it in Canva. You don't need a professional and expensive edition. Going for something minimalist, with a background color as a base, will also look great.

Ideally, place your username, and a brief description of your brand.

Last details

Your name, verify that no one has it on the web. And don't add special characters like Ju@ni+@ because it loses readability.

And finally, take advantage of all the options, add the location you want, add a link to the site where you want to bring traffic, in addition to editing your professional profile. In this, you can add your profession.

The advice that I give you is general, and can be adapted to any project. However, you make the decisions.

Use your creativity, play with the color palettes, or create a new one. Take as long as you want, until you feel satisfied with it.
