So people around me and around the world are discussing about artificial intelligence (AI) more and more for a long time. There are some people who want restrictions placed on AI due to the negative capabilities of AI such as generating explicit images or videos of real people. And there's nothing wrong in it and I do agree that people should not be able to exploit AI to create these kinds of images or videos but I was mainly questioning those who villainize AI itself.

I believe that we must take into account the nature of all technologies we shouldn't blame it, humans can use it for both good or for bad. I think it completely depends on the person holding it and the technology has nothing to do in it. My reasoning is based on a past experience and an experience growing up alongside technology. So when I was young, my parents would tell me that Facebook was a horrible application that I should never open an account there. They told me that they did not trust what I might see or who I might meet there. But as I grew up I had secretly opened an account and I learned to use Facebook with responsibility.

I learned that I could connect to people and join worthwhile communities all through this "evil" app, hehe. Of course, I also found ways to waste my time and put myself in unsafe situations. But that does not mean that Facebook itself was evil. The app is a tool and a means by which people act just like any other piece of technology.

I won't miss this one which is Tik Tok it's a famous social media application it is an example I can provide directly from my life. People discuss Tik Tok similarly to how they discuss Facebook a few years prior. I understand why people might not like the app because it does contain some "cringe" (according to other people) videos and harmful content and people waste large amounts of time within the application. I was shocked whenever I hear people stating that the application is "bad" overall. But there are multiple creators there who are talented amd they are very nice and creative. I have seen bullies there as well. But how can that be the app's fault? Well, the same goes for AI, in my opinion.

If someone is using AI to create "explicit images of real people," I would blame the person, not the technology for the action. The technology is not a living being who has free will, it only does things when it's given command. This is just a tool and it would complete any command from any person who interacts with it because that is how it is built.

Also, I don't believe that companies do not have ethical responsibilities of course that can't be true and I believe companies who makes ai they should have ethical guidelines and take the ethics of their products seriously. But users should also take responsibility for their actions and an overreaching sense of freedom of speech should not be extended just because an idea is "technologically possible."

Technology is supposed to advance and there's no way to stop that but it's our responsibility to not decrease alongside it. I believe people should take a step back from these technologies and not question “How do we stop AI?” we should ask ourselves "Why are people misusing this technology?" In my point of view, a sensible person would not blame a technology but the abuser. And we should put restrictions for the technologies.
