Dock pictures. In and out again! We work too fast!

avatar

So we were sent through to the docks again. After a 3 day intermission (5 if you count the weekend) off-site, we returned to start the stripping out of the HVAR systems that we are going to be replace.

This means the refrigeration systems of both units were to be stripped out and the compressors made ready to be removed off site for service.

We also had to strip and remove one of the two fans from the unit that needs to be replaced.

And lastly we needed to remove the filters and filter frames.

2 teams, we completed all of that in 9 hours which includes a 1 hour lunch break and the time to do all the paperwork to get started.

The picture above is of Michael, our Technician getting ready to rumble!

Here Michael is labeling the wires on the Compressor and taking photos.

Here is Aidan, Michael's Assistant. We also call him Nkosi... sometimes Camel... other times Camel Nkosi Tsabalala... we like giving nicknames to Assistants!

Here is Patrick and Stephen busy with the fan.

Before

And after.

A successful work day for our team. We really worked efficiently on this and I hope we can keep to that speed with the rebuild... coming soon...

Thanks for reading!

Cheers!

Hi, are you guys working on a ship? By the way, I can relate to the nickname, I did that too! Sometimes the one we are giving a nickname doesn't know that he/she has a nickname for us.
