Day 2 of the Debmar Atlantic 2024 job. Are things getting better?

I LIVE!

Day two of the Project is done and I must say, it went a lot better than the previous day.

We started really getting stuck into the work. Ordering stock, sorting out invoices, doing reports. It felt good to get stuff done.

As you can see in these pictures, there is a lot of corrosion. Something that is nearly impossible to dodge when the equipment goes to sea.

This whole vessel has massive amounts of corrosion on it. This is something we need to deal with every inport.

We got even MORE workscope today... however, it includes some site politics... so we shall see how that goes.

Another victim of corrosion.

Take a wild guess how much a replacement grilled like this costs! I would like to see your guesses in the comments below!

Thank you for reading! Remember to take a guess below!

Cheers!

Is the grill the blue cover, or the shrivelled brown mess in the photo below it ?

If it's the blue cover, I'm gonna say $50 for the cover but goes up to $500 because of the logo in the middle and getting just the right shade of blue paint. If it's the brown thing that looks like a fan cover, I'm gonna say $150, or $20 for the cheap Chinese generic copy 😁
