Another Sardine Run at Panagsama, Moalboal

Hello everyone!

I already published quite a few freediving videos with the sardines in Panagsama. You can find them in my 3speak account or just scroll down in my blog. Since I considered Panagsama in Moalboal to be my second home here in Cebu, I won't get tired of sharing freediving content, especially with the turtles and sardines. This time, it's different because we had the opportunity to interact with the sardines up close.

I'm actually jealous of Claire during this time because she was able to dive below the sardines and swim slowly back to the surface causing the sardine formation to encircle around her. But my ears were sort of "inverted" that instead of popping during equalization, it felt like water was rushing inside my eardrums. It was very painful that I stayed on the level where I don't have to equalize.

Even if I wasn't able to dive deeper, I am still satisfied with the result because I was aiming for that somber and moody feel of the video, which was amazingly achieved by @indayclara's edit. It feels as if it matched my overall mood for the past week. Everything is just awesome as if it falls in its right place.

This video was taken by our go-to guide, photographer, and videographer in Moalboal - @sabanalchristian. It was edited by @indayclara which I admit she's getting good at editing videos!

I guess that's all for this post. I hope you'll enjoy this video!

Your undersea explorations, always make me very interested in your posts. Although I am very bad at diving. I hope to have articles sharing about basic scuba diving from you :)

Yay! Thank you so much!

Scuba diving is different from freediving. Scuba diving needs a breathing apparatus while in freediving, you dive in one breath. I would love to share some basic things about scuba and/or freediving, but I'm not really good at it. Maybe soon! We will have our certifications for freediving next year. I have an open water scuba certification, but it was from last year and I haven't tried scuba diving again.

I also believe that freediving or even scuba diving are always a personal journey. You need to have an expert or master diver who will guide you because both hobbies are very dangerous. If you want to try them, start inquiring in your local dive shops how much is a basic training course. It's an investment because I know these hobbies are not cheap, but they're really worth it.

Nice! I suggest to always go for a basic training course. Discovery and intro courses are okay, but they won't let you immerse into the basics. Basic training courses are a little bit expensive, but it's worth every penny. Plus you can document your journey here so that's an added bonus.

The sardine formation looks really great, but you will certainly get the opportunity to do so again and then it will not hurt;)

Yeah! I will definitely do it again. So sorry for the delayed reply. We got hit by a super typhoon and we still don't have power here. Internet is not available in most areas.
