Working refrigerator/freezer in the storage cave, growing tomatoes in the semi-desert, damaged compost bin (2024.04.14)

Three news in one post.

The first news is that from today (2024.04.14) one of the three refrigerators in the cave is working. In the lower part it has a freezer too. Mostly this also works, if it receives energy from the solar panels. Upgrades (more solar panels, higher capacity battery) are needed to make them work in the night too. The refrigerator/freezer is a necessity to store the foods. The summer will be so hot that the foods will not last long without a refrigerator/freezer.

The second news is that we are successfully growing tomatoes in the rocky semi-desert beside the cactus in front of the community place. It is important to properly water them.

The third news is that someone or something damaged the community's compost bin in the recent past. Soon we will fix it. We need boards and a screw gun to fix it.

Otherwise everything is good.

It is obviously visible that we have an actual, real, physical community, and that we work together to maintain and improve/upgrade this community place.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
