I installed Android 14 on my Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone (2025.08.13)
So far it was Android 13 on it.
Good to see that it is compatible with Android 14 too.
I updated some of the applications too, including the Google Maps too, which now also properly work.
Now the system is up-to-date, and the softwares should properly and securely work.
I will use this smartphone as long as the Android version on it is supported, or as long as it works.
By the way, I am still looking for a place (telephone service), which would replace the touchscreen of my previous smartphone, a Motorola Moto G22, with keeping the data on it.
I would save photos, videos, and WhatsApp chats too from that smartphone.
There are no backups of those files anywhere.
There are personal photos, audio recordings, and videos, which are saved only on that smartphone.
And my latest WhatsApp chat backup from my Google account's storage is from the March of 2025.
So there are multiple WhatsApp chat discussions, which are available only on that smartphone.
This is why I would like to replace the currently broken touchscreen of the Motorola Moto G22 smartphone.
To save files (mostly photos, audios, and videos), and WhatsApp chats.
If anyone know a telephone service, preferably on Tenerife, where they would replace the touchscreen of a Motorola Moto G22 smartphone, then feel free to write it in a comment.
I would be grateful and happy for that.
Thank you.

Haven't you tried by connecting your old phone to a PC as a flash memory and tried to recovery those files that way?
Nowadays I do not have a PC, nor a laptop.
One of my friends have a laptop, but we have not tried connecting the smartphone to it so far.
We are very busy, and the electricity is also limited (there is no electricity in our small wood houses, only in the kitchen and in the office).
And to make a backup of the WhatsApp chats on that smartphone, probably the touchscreen replacement is needed anyway.
But probably soon we will try to connect the smartphone to a PC/laptop to see if any backup is possible that way (the touchscreen of that smartphone is currently damaged, and currently it is not usable and readable on its biggest part).
Yeah, I know that you probably need a working touchscreen for the WhatsApp backup, but for the rest of the data, connecting it to a PC/laptop should do.
That's Nice but hope it's not Slowing down the Device
So far it is properly working.
Both the Android 14 operating system and the applications on it are also properly working.
The smartphone is not slowed down at all.
I can recommend the update to everyone with the Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone.
Okay Great
