Edit: I meant to publish this post into the Daily Blog community, but somehow I posted it into the Blogging Challenge community. There is no challenge in this. I just document my own life. Showing what I enjoy. Usually I post with Ecency, but this time I posted this with PeakD, because I had trouble with the photo uploading on Ecency. Somehow I misclicked (mistouched) during post publishing, and this is why I posted this into a different community.

This mountain (the Kab-hegy) is 599 meters high. The air is clean. I very much like it. Tonight I also sleep on the mountain in the house of the radio club. And the tomorrow I will go home to Tiszasüly to my brother.

Today I tried the Yaesu FT-891 transceiver of the HA5KNF radio club. I tried to call MM7CEH Clark on 14.290 MHz, but the shortwave propagation was not good enough this time, so I have not made a QSO (two-way radioamateur contact) today. I tried it with 20 Watts this time. Maybe more TX power would have been done it.

In addition to trying the SSB phone, I also checked SSTV on 14.230 MHz. I received two images.

A CQ (general call) from M0LXX Luke from England.

A CQ (general call) from OH3EPZ Kari.

The current equipment on the mountain is a Yaesu FT-891 HF + 50 MHz transceiver with a dipole antenna.

And there is a Yaesu FTL-2001 VHF transceiver too. With an omnidirectional antenna.
