Location

I sat down in the freshly-cut grass in front of my building on a sunny, warm day. There were wild flowers blooming, a light breeze blowing, and insects buzzing. I was feeling impatient because I wanted to go for a walk.

Scent

• The grass smelled fresh and vegetative.

Sight

• indigo wildflowers
• Yellow dandelions
• Green grass
• Brown dead leaves

Hearing

• Dry leaves pitter-pattering on concrete like little feet
• Squirrels and birds chirping
• Bees and wasps buzzing, making me afraid and making me want to run away

Feel/touch

• Light breeze (pleasant)
• Heat of the sun (uncomfortable)
• Prickly grass

Taste

• bitter dandelion milk
