I discussed protein and amino acids at first because I was in the process of building muscle by lifting weights, then I was interested in what foods or substances can support the process of building muscle healthily according to applicable health recommendations. From there I searched for and liked to write about types of amino acids, in my early posts on StemSocial discussing Steroids which are substances for building muscle but may have negative effects that can be endanger to health.

Then I discussed the types of essential amino acids, their benefits for the body, and where they come from. I am not a health expert or a science journal maker. I want to share the information I know in a simple but meaningful writing style, and I hope it will become a valuable blog on the Hive platform.

You guys can check my previous post about Steroids and Essential Amino Acids which were divided into nine sections which all of you can read in the links below:

The first time I found out about Glutamine

The first time I read and heard about Glutamine was when I wanted to buy a supplement that could help build muscle by meeting the needs of essential and non-essential amino acids, then I was interested in writing about it. Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid that can be produced by the body but the amount is limited, we need external intakes like food and supplements to get this amino acid as needed.

The benefits of glutamine are similar to other types of amino acids, namely helping the process of protein synthesis in the body which can increase growth hormone, speed up recovery after strenuous physical exercise, and can maximize the absorption of nutrients in the body. Glutamine supplements are generally available in combination with other types of amino acids, examples of products containing glutamine are Whey protein, BCAA (branch chain amino acids), and L-glutamine.

Supplements containing Gluamine are widely sold freely in online marketplaces. It is advisable to do research and ask a nutritionist before buying glutamine supplements so as not to endanger your health because many counterfeit supplement products sell glutamine which will be harmful to the body if carelessly.

Don't make glutamine supplements the main substance that must be met, all nutritional needs must be balanced and regular so that they have a positive impact on the body. There are many types of amino acids that need to be taken in order to maximize protein synthesis, we can fulfill them from real food and then take supplements. Whole foods with minimal processing will be much better nutritionally than processed foods such as fast food.

I opened a discussion with all of you who read this post, let's talk about Glutamine or other types of amino acids in the comments column. If there are writing errors or sentences that are not understood, please leave a comment below, I am open to receiving criticism and suggestions so that in the future my blog will be better in terms of writing and meaningful for all of us.
