On a top secret mission: silver and science...

Nestled along the stunning northwest coast of Ireland, Sligo is a picturesque town renowned for its rugged landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and artistic flair. Some of you may have noticed, most of you probably havent, but ive been a lot quieter on the blockchain these past few weeks, and non-existent the last few days. That's because ive been working on some high level, top secret, world saving, mind blowing, revolutionary, science stuff....

Unfortunately, we dont have the perfect science laboratories required for these ground breaking science experiments here in Wales, so that meant a short plane ride to, and then a long bus journey traversing the emerald Isles, to reach the university campus snd hospital in Sligo.

Just a quick plane ride to the other side of the Irish sea, which only lasted about 45 minutes, followed by the longest 3 & 1/2 bus journey of my life.....

Ok, so it wasnt that bad! The free wifi and air conditioning kepts me cool and entertained the whole trip. I arrived at the hotel, bang in schedule. This allowed me to settle in, unpack, have a quick walk around the grounds, before returning for light evening meal and an early bedtime, ready for a full day of science the following day.

Before heading back in, and with the castle looking so grand, i couldnt help but whip out my "pocket silver piece" and take a quick snap.

So off to bed I go, completely shattered from a long days travel. As per usual, a spacious room, double bed and all the fluffy pillows a man could want, still wasnt enough for me to get a good nights sleep!! Is it just me, or does no where really match up to your own bed?

Feeling completely unrefreshed, I make my way to breakfast, before the short walk over the the university hospital, to begin my top secret experiments...

Top secret scientific data captured!! Its now time to make my great escape, but they realise i have no idea what im doing..... Luckily, no loss of life or limb meant I could get out undetected with my top secret results in hand.

Straight back on the bus, heading for the airport. Hopefully, by the time they realise ive just made a mess and not done any work, ill be long gone and back on home soil.

A quick stop in the airport bar, for some light refreshments and a shameless selfie with some silver, before heading out on the tarmac once again to catch the plane home.

Like the Irish secret service, the weather had almost caught up with me..... A complete change from the calm and clear skies while heading here, the wind was whipping and the rain begto lash down. This meant for a bump ride home, but luckily i mademit out the other side free from injury with my secret documentation in tact.
