Por cada partícula de materia existe una antipartícula con propiedades similares, pero con ciertas características opuestas. Y cuando materia y antimateria se encuentran, ocurre algo extraordinario: pueden aniquilarse y transformar su masa en energía.
Pero esto nos lleva a una pregunta todavía más intrigante: si el universo primitivo debió producir materia y antimateria en cantidades similares, ¿por qué nuestro universo está compuesto principalmente de materia?
