... game was made on a £40,000 budget and it is one of the best of its genre. I recommend picking up the GOG version. I'm enjoying the design and atmosphere right now.

The game is available for free. You can download the manual and a comic book to go along. Even if you are not interested in retro games, Beneath a Steel Sky (1994) is a one worth at least giving a look at. The game is short and does not get dragged too long.

It was an interesting experience to witness how games were made during a time where 2 MB of RAM was the system requirements. The source code of the game is available and its

  • 98.4% Assembly
  • 1.4% C++
  • 0.2% Makefile

Wish you the best! I have not finished the game myself. My current impression is that it is the 2nd best point and click game I have played. I'm not very experienced in point and click. But it is hard to think of one that can eclipse The Longest Journey (1999)
