I have invested everything I can into cryptosphere and at the moment, majority of my portfolio consist of $HIVE and assets that have been powered by HIVE. When HIVE does better; I win! When DAPPs to better; I win! Even if I leave out all the emotional investment and the community I get to interact with and the friends I have made on the blockchain (which is already more than the number of friends I have IRL), I still have massive incentive to want the absolute best for HIVE + DAPPs.

When I can think of ways to improve anything, I try to share my insights. As long as they are on the blockchain, there is a chance some developer or marketeer will see it and improve upon what they are already doing. The content I present are based on my limited experience and knowledge being a part of HIVE and cryptosphere for over 6 years. I am not a developer or an artist or a Whale. You could call me a middle class user; a Dolphin!

Are You Invested in ZING?

The article linked in the title will cover the basics about HoloZing and earning ZING. There are many more developments that have come after I wrote the article 2 months ago. It is best to follow @holozing account to get the latest updates. @acidyo has been amazing with the community giving details about the game and clearing out confusions.

The best part about investing in ZING is that it can be done without risking any of your capital. There is 3,355,295 HIVE Power delegated to @zingtoken account by many investors including @yabapmatt (Co-Founder of the biggest DAPP on HIVE). All these investors including me are loosing out on curation rewards and Resource Credits.

All of my current investment in ZING Token comes through delegation + staking rewards. This is the power of HIVE. There are very few places where investors can earn Tokens for simply delegating their assets. It is better than an Airdrop because there is a commitment of resources that will reduce the number of Airdrop Hunters who are mainly looking to sell Tokens for a profit.

Utility of SPS

Cryptocurrency investments are mostly speculative. Many buy into a Token because they think it will go up in value. Others buy into a Token because they think the narratives will make other people expect the Token to go up in value. It is all narratives, memes and some Technical Analysis for them. The problem with such thinking is that price is mostly dependent on perceptions and the investors are defendant on the price. This can be a vicious place to find oneself at during the wrong set of circumstances.

When there is a utilize beyond speculation, there is the obvious safety in that investment. Beyond that, we can expect the increasing utility to have a greater impact on the price performance. @splinterlands is adding more and more utility to SPS. HIVE on the other hand has not made a big difference.

The Revelation I Had

I need HIVE! I cannot do anything on HIVE blockchain without Resource Credits. and the only way to get them is by Powering Up $HIVE. There is the ability to vote for authors and DHF Proposals along with Witness votes to select block producers. When I think of Powering Down at some point to take profits, I find myself very comfortable with the idea. I barely use any RC.

Most of my HIVE use cases are wants; not needs. I like curation and I want to make my voice heard in governance activities. I can manage fine without these things. I cannot manage being unable to use decentralized social media + other DAPPs (mainly games) that consume Resource Credits. I have decided to keep just enough for my daily activities and delegate the rest of my HIVE Power to earn Tokens. @leo.voter became the biggest recipient. When HoloZing started with delegation rewards, I had already delegated most of my HP.

I did not want to cancel the delegation. Instead, I kept increasing my delegation to @zingtoken to earn higher rewards. I am not alone in this rush for ZING Rewards and it has brought down the APR for delegations. I take it as a sign of demand to come :-)

Stake for Better Rewards

I play @splinterlands everyday. I earn Focus Points and open Reward Chests. Higher Leagues have more expensive Reward Chests that contain better Rewards inside them. They is a higher chance to receive Gold Foil and Legendary Cards along with a larger multiplier for Tokens received. As a player, I need to maintain a significant stake of SPS if I want to keep earning good Rewards.

It is very difficult to be able to open 10 Diamond Reward Chests in a day. I am only able to do it during the last few days of a Season. There are few things to remember about the probabilities of receiving a Card that is both Legendary and Gold Foil. In Bronze league, the respective probabilities are 0.5% and 0.2%.

• 4X for Silver League
• 6X for Gold League
• 8X for Diamond League
• 16X for Champion League

These increased probabilities lead me faster towards Leveling Up. Today I made it to my very first Gold Foil Legendary Card at Max Level. I only have 4 Max Level Cards and 2 of them were Promo Cards I bought. I would like to continue this gameplay performance.

Give Players More Reasons to Stake

Soulkeep Tower Defense game should be close to release and that will add even more need for SPS staked. The approach HIVE took and the one Koinos is taking is to make DAPPs want to buy Tokens. This is great for a Layer 1 and it reduce the burden on users. It is not necessarily the best approach for a DAPP. I may not sell the top because of my gameplay needs! It is very hard to Power Down a Token when it is providing me with utility on every single day.

I will end up HODLing through a large stake of SPS into the next bear market all because I feel the need to play a stupid game/s. If enough players did this, it will massively reduce the sell pressure. __There is even a higher chance for Token to decouple from $BTC and $ETH.

I HODL ZING because I believe in the team behind the project. I keep increasing my delegation and I keep ZING staked. I'm investing for the long term. Many years down the road, I will take some profits. Higher the utility I have for ZING at the time, lower the amount I will be unstaking!
