There are many great milestones achieved today in the @splinterlands ecosystem. That is right, this is a full fledged ecosystem. It used to be a Card game on blockchain with Splintertalk and their NFTs being an extra layer on top of regular HIVE activities. Things are finally becoming much larger than a game + community + few NFTs. Things are going to be more active (maybe) with lower advantages to bots. There is going to be more complexity added to the game.

There was a Proposal for doubling the chances for finding the more valuable types of Land (similar to Legendary and Alchemy Potions) that was very close to move to either side. It was 66% For and 34% Against. The tides turned when some of the SPS that was voting in favor of the Proposal changed their vote.

The positive thing coming out of this vote is that there will be a reduction in some of the resources coming to the market (because the Rare Land types that produce them are up to 50% less frequent) and I don't have to struggle to find 570,000 DEC for the Land I already own. The missed opportunity to burn DEC will be more than countered by the reduction of new resources coming out of Praetoria.

Town Hall Summary

This was a longer Town Hall with 3 hours of content. The biggest highlights were related to Praetoria. Players will be able mint their own Cards while engaged with Praetoria! There will be 4 Rarities as usual and there will be 14 types of Land.

Runi will have its special utility. That is an extra detail to keep in mind. @splinterlands has created one of the best NFTs on Ethereum by creating utility for Runi. You can say that it is a part of the ecosystem!

I tried to reach Diamond II only to have loss after loss bringing down the Ranked Ratio. The glaringly obvious insight is that I need better Cards. I have worked on that (to an extent).

A Part of My Buying Spree

If you see me in Battle, you may see better upgraded Cards. It did not come easy. There were many assets I had to sell. Luckily I had some of it in HBD safe from the slight drop in the market. I did miss out on the recent HBD pump. I will only blame myself for this. It was my negligence that had a domino effect of causing to have less dry powder today!

The last claim moved the numbers past another arbitrary milestone on SPS stake. Although the staking rewards are lower compared to what DeFi activities can earn, the lack of impermanent loss and GLX Aidrop makes up for that.

This is the beginning of a new beginning! The best is yet to come. Take things slow and don't make hasty decisions. Learn about the economy and realize that the mid sized projects like @splinterlands give the best combination of safety and ROI. The Top 100 cryptocurrencies are already massive. There is a significant risk with tiny projects. @splinterlands is at a sweet spot similar to what is seen among mid range smartphones. Invest wisely!
