Moon Karts Demo + Whitepaper Reveal, First Max Level Summoner and Killer Whales Reality TV Show - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 40
I have been a part of @splinterlands before there was a game. I thought of a game similar to Pokémon or Magic: The Gathering would be the perfect game for a blockchain and when @splinterlands came into the picture, I invested into the game. My worst mistake was that I did not invest as much as I should have. I would be in a far better state financially if I had embraced the game going all in on it.
When Genesis League Sports released and Invennium was created to onboard outside investors and developers to HIVE, I was extremely excited. The technology @splinterlands team had built was too good to be left to one game (even if it become the #1 DAPP in the world for some time). There was no playable game for over an year since the launch of GLX. I made a small investment and I currently have 2 Teams. I have tried playing some games. It is difficult to even find an opponent and my old laptop has trouble running the game smoothly. My internet is good. Either my laptop is too underpowered or the game code is not very optimized.
Moon Karts on @arcadecolony is Different
Go to 28:43 to see a demo of the game developed by Salvay which is a software development company with many years of experience and tech stacks. Salvay is not the biggest developer with the best of games. They are still better than random new team that is merely starting out. They have built games for many different companies. They already have a basic game ready to demo before COLONY launched! Go through Salvay's Portfolio and decide for yourself how good they are. At the very least they deliver successful products. That is a good start.
The Best and Most Promising Part
Most of the whitepaper was written by Joseph from Salvay. It looked as good as something written by @aggroed or any other experienced Web 3 gamer. The game may or may not be fun. What it won't be is a shallow cash grab. You do not have to take my word for it. Read the whitepaper in full and see for yourself.

This is not the worst Ranked Ratio I have had. I even managed to reach Diamond II only to fall back after few Battles during the final day of the Season. I will try not to make the same mistake this Season and quit if I make it that far. The loss and wait to reach Diamond III again can cause the loss of many Focus Points.

I have my first Max Level Card earned purely through gameplay Rewards. Eternan Brune is the name of the Summoner and I expect it to be very useful once I have more Gladiator Cards with me.

There is nothing important to talk about Rentals. I will have to take a look at it again once there are more players and there is a higher demand for lower level Cards. At the current moment, I need the best Cards for gameplay + Praetoria and the remaining ones cannot justify the minimum fee for Rent.

SplinterShare had this recent survey on its users. The results are expected to be biased towards the older dates because those who are looking into more advanced tools are the ones who are most likely been playing the game for a longer time. It is easier for a long time player to be a larger investor either through earning through the game or believing in @splinterlands assets enough to invest heavily into them. In the end; results turned out to favor the period of highest growth in the game + oldest investors like yours truly.
@aggroed represented us in this Reality TV series about various cryptocurrency projects. It is made to look similar to Shark Tank or Dragon's Den. The winners don't exactly get an investment from the judges. The gains would be mostly marketing related. I do expect the series to be good for @splinterlands assets and the results will slowly trickle down to rest of the DAPPs on HIVE.
Only one of the episodes have premiered so far and the release for the mainstream streaming will happen on 11th of March. See if you can guess the day @splinterlands will get the attention.
