List of 165 CBDC Projects Across The Globe With Latest Updates

CBDC are a form of fiat currency that can be programmed by the government. One could loose access to the access of their funds as easy (and eventually as common) as a ban on social media. All the inefficiencies and surveillance of governments will be a part of the financial activities of every citizen. CBDC are a vital ingredient for turning the world into a Panopticon.

CBDC Tracker

This website will provide you with all the important information at one place with an essay to navigate dashboard. There is no need to create any accounts or make payments. Click on the link provided in the title and experience the current state of these dystopian developments. At the moment of writing we have the following statistics:

  • 4 Projects Launched.
  • 22 Pilot Projects.
  • 29 at Proof of Concept.
  • 103 in Research Phase.
  • 7 Canceled Projects.

Click on the map to learn more about specific projects. The information provided can be compared with @coingecko, DefiLlama etc. They may not always be perfectly accurate or upto date. What CBDC Tracker provide is a unified presentation of the data and news.

Most of the media in is spreading disinformation and misinformation on the most important matters and even those who are covering cryptocurrency and on the Libertarian side are vastly unaware of the prevalence and magnitude of CBDC projects around the world. One of the reasons for this is USA lagging behind on their CBDC projects. Most people give too much weight to USA due to its military and economic influence.

Project Whitepaper

The full Whitepaper can be read on the website. I will provide some important parts of it for the convenience of the reader.

Human Rights Foundation on CBDC

The following statistics are taken from their blog published on November of 2023. Read the full blog for better context. They have a fancier CBDC Tracker which can be accessed on this website. __These are great tools to share information and present them to normies and easily visualize the extent of the problem.

Increasing Cryptocurrency Adoption is The Way

There are no other options I can think of to fight against CBDC projects. Giving up technology and isolating oneself is not an option most people can pursue. Expecting another Javier Milei type politician in an election is not very likely and electing one will most likely not be sufficient. I do not expect to be able to fix politics with more politics. We need governments run by principles; not people. Unfortunately most people are not fans of strong principles and create far too problematic systems and mob rule.

The Distriator Project

Distriator will send you instant liquid Hive Backed Dollar rewards for doing this from between 35 and 60% of your purchase value. The more you use the app the higher your cashback rewards will be, additionally, over time we will integrate a reputation system so that you have the opportunity to be rewarded for using the app more frequently.

In the back ground, the app posts a post to the Hive blockchain via your Hive account (which is why, if you use the app regularly to claim cashback, we recommend you use an alternative account to your main account) and takes a beneficiary from the rewards of that post to cover the cost of this instant cashback paid.

Distriator DOES NOT make a profit doing this since any surplus beneficiary funds will be sent back out to the community in the form of prizes in competitions for those who spend Bitcoin Lightning and Hive Dollars the most frequently and use the app to make claims.

More information can be found by following @thedistriator. They are taking a very positive step towards enhancing adoption of cryptocurrency including decentralized stablecoin $HBD. I followed the project thanks to @gadrian. This is a small step towards a better future. We must improve the P2P economy and make everything easy for businesses and regular users.

The list of CBDC projects will grow over the coming years and more projects will move to the launch phase. We may only have few years to improve the adoption of cryptocurrency payments and privacy technologies. Let's do our best to achieve a decentralized future!

I personally, don't worry about it, they just simply can't force it all in the same time for people.

Perhaps, it can be done with more success in the west and other communist, fasicst countries, but it will end how their 'injection-project' did.

There are plenty alternative options: privacy coins are 1 of those, there are already several very good one. Also, unless they don't bring back the 'good-old days' commie, fascist, nationalizing everything what they want practice, just keep operating with corp-commie, fascist way (they print money, and by the time, they buy up everything anyway), you can still go to the amish way - the only society, group of people who are just generally doing great in the west atm, without much fiat, crypto, generally tech. Compared to nowadays reality, even that is a huge, real progress, step forward.

The main doubt I got, is the internet access, and they can play with that at individual level, just as easy as with cbdcs.

So, if anyone left that much, they can finance basics for amish way of life, probably that's the best option. Until the gov (corp) droid armies don't show up to take everything you got, just because they are the gov droids and got that order...

The problem with privacy coins is that they have very low acceptance when it comes to paying for goods and services. Developing countries + Japan have cash as king and there are many countries where there is no infrastructure to even implement a nation wide CBDC system. Sweden on the other hand is in the worst case scenario where cash usage is mostly eliminated.

Overall I do think it will be possible to avoid CBDC without going full Amish as long as there is willingness to move and relocate when necessary.

I didn't really know, cash usage in Japan still holding. That's a good thing. Well, privacy coins haunted, exactly because of their true nature, obviously big danger, enemy for the system, and its owners, that's why they ban everywhere. they never will be accepted by system, only can be by average Joes. if everybody would use it, they couldnt legally steal by tax, and million other ways, use the money weapon. there is still ways to use it as payment, until there is internet.

In practice, from average person point of view, I don't see much difference between communism and fascism. Probably, the fascists could manage things a bit better, getting acceptance from the public easier.

How i see, nowadays, they are picking more and more practice from both -ism in the west, personally, i see much more communism, than fascism.

1 thing sure, both were psychopaths, how nowadays ones, so Amish way looks pretty good for me. Not punishment, but blessing. Just even reaching that, get out of system to level of Amish, cost a lot.

Anyway, they don't suffer any of the artifically system (and its owners) created deaseses. The best community in the west. No starvation, homelessness, unemployment, declining birth rate (matter of fact, only people, where population is growing, birthrate way over 2), also don't suffer from plenty man-made-up health diseases, health problem.

Took a while, but now I see, their way of live much more advanced, higher level than top of history, tech advanced capitalist, modern slavery, neo commie-fascist civilization.

I didn't really know, cash usage in Japan still holding.

20% of GDP happens to be cash transactions and Japan officially got rid of floppy disks on June (2024): https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/07/japans-government-finally-exits-90s-ends-floppy-disk-use

The reason I brought up fascism because of the involvement of Big Tech where government is working together with "private" companies to enforce their control rather than doing all the oppression by themselves.

Anyway, they don't suffer any of the artifically system (and its owners) created deaseses.

Environment, food and medicine likely play a very big part. I try to eat more of organic food grown the without the added chemicals etc. I minimize taking any medicine (except Ayurveda).

I was surprised when I first found out by how widespread CBDC projects are around the world. Looks like we'll be surround by them. Dystopian society here we come...

Thanks for the shout out! I find the Distriator project quite interesting by its approach outward. Hopefully, it will have an impact on adoption of HBD and Hive.

The thing with business adoption is that it works best when the focus is on specific areas with a high degree of users willing to pay with cryptocurrency. Cities with high rate of adoption are the best places to focus on and have exponential growth such as this: https://www.bitcoinbeach.com

Yep, but more places like the El Salvadorian Bitcoin Beech need to become reality.
