We are hours away from a project that has been under development for over 2 years. I invested during the Presale and managed to gather 58 Plots and sold one of them. I am mostly ready for gameplay. I have not done any spreadsheet simulations. I made some basic calculations and I have a generally good sense of how to manage my @splinterlands assets.

Praetoria (Land 1.5) Tutorial for Beginners

I made the tutorial based on my experience on the Maverick's Server. If you are not a Maveick, the screenshots will help you orient yourself before you get started with Land 1.5 activities. It is important to get a good start. The UI/UX is designed to be intuitive and many of the information is available to you when you want them. Even if you have not done a deep dive into the mechanics, it is possible to manage and even thrive today after the update goes live. Get yourselves ready and I wish you the best to be able to be better prepared than I am.

The Road to Collect DEC

I have not have the Cards needed to reach the maximum base Production Points of 100,000 on any Plot. I may have enough Cards to fill up all of my Plots. What I do not have is the DEC to buy Power Cores and Stake on Land.

I have a small position in Diesel Pools earning SPS Rewards. Most of my DeFi staking is locked up in the $CUB Kingdom and $POLYCUB (in the form of vexPOLYCUB). After claiming LP Rewards + SPS Staking Rewards, DEX became a roadblock. I wrote about this yesterday! We have to fix these small problems that keep popping up if we aim to onboard masses and get them to purchase assets.

The good thing is that we have working Diesel Pools. The exchange rate is sometimes better than what is available on the feeless DEX with orderbook. At times Diesel Pool can be a little more expensive. The main problem is that I cannot have limit orders where I can get a better price in exchange for waiting longer. This option is lot due to whatever the problems that are going with HIVE-Engine.

These are not the only trades I made. All the transactions get completed in ~3 seconds and anyone can use Diesel Pools to have one of the best DEC experiences for swapping between Cryptocurrencies and Tokens. The problem is that there are only a limited number of asset pairs available for swapping.

I Have Some GLGT to Sell

I have not unstaked any of my GLX even after the end of GLX Rewards. GLGT Rewards keep coming and most investors are happy with just that (for now). If the DEX was working without an issue, I will not have anything to complain about. Even now I have value little value stored in GLGT. Yet the problem with lack of methods to exist is a problem. I am not even trying to exit for fiat. That would not be a smart move in these bull markets.

How to Prioritize

Above is a list of Plots I own. Splintercards is a very helpful tool developed by @tehox that can give a great deal of insights into many facets of @splinterlands in an easily digestible form.

Special Factors to Consider

The UI will take guide you through the Terrain preference bonus/penalty when you are selecting cards for staking. I will have a screenshot on the article to save you research time. Whitepaper will have you covered if you want to dig further. It is the best official source.

Common Magical/Occupied Plots can be treated the same as Natural Legendary Plots (not considering Terrain preferences). I plan to have more focus on SPS mining to sell SPS to buy more DEC to be staked in Praetoria. Totems and and Titles works the same anywhere they are used. Use them on your most productive Plots.

Remaining 48 Plots will be mostly ignored for a long time to come. If it becomes possible to Rent Land, I will happily do it. Since there is already a sever lack of assets and DEC to utilize existing Land, I doubt @splinterlands team will give priority for such a feature. SPS is already being burned according to yesterday's Town Hall event (I read the summary).
