A Guide to @risingstargame Booster Cards + Navigating HIVE Wallet Problems
It has been almost years since I last ran out of Energy while playing @risingstargame due to my collection of Birthday Cake Cards and the Pizza Box I own. These were some very good investments I made and I had made too many of them at one point (strictly considering gameplay usage). After a long time I have run out of all the methods of restoring Energy to 100% today with the help of Cool Yule Mission.
I used to own more Birthday Cake Cards. After seeing them siting around doing nothing for me in the game, I decided to sell some of them. It was very profitable in STARBITS terms. I'm not sure about $HIVE or $HBD value. I managed to complete more Missions and earn more Rewards with 1st and 2nd Birthday Cake Cards. Even if there was a loss, the utility gained may have more than made up for it. This is the great thing about investing in NFTs that are used in a game. You are not at the mercy of the prices going up. There are other use cases beyond games (such as exclusive memberships etc.) for NFTs. Feel free to invest in these after doing your own research.
Missing Out on STARBITS Millionaire Missions
The reason I am not doing many of these Missions that get me 10,000 STARBITS in 30 minutes (can only be completed once a day) is because I have been busy with Cool Yule Mission that is only available until 10th of January. Every Missions matters as Special Cards for Christmas Season are rewarded once in ~10 Missions. I can complete STARBITS Millionaire Missions at a later time. They are going to be around for a far longer time.
STARBITS Millionaire Cards are not being issued anymore and it is treated as a Soulbound Card by @risingstargame team. You cannot buy, sell or earn the Card. I managed to get mine by being an early adopter of the game. I do not know what will happen in the future. If you are interested in finding out, visit the official website and see if the game is worth your investment. Always do your own research and adjust or investment according to the risk:reward ratio.
Boosters Are a Worthy Investment
There is difference between speculation based on demand and rarity versus the evaluation based on utility. Consider the following part of the article as a guide for the buyers based on my experience with the game.
- Birthday Cake: These are all functionally the same. You can get your Energy to 100% once every 12 hours. It is possible to use once Card twice in a day. Buy the cheapest.
- Energy Boost: This Pizza Slice is priced a fraction of Birthday Cake and takes twice as long to recharge. The 24 hour recharge is a lot more annoying than the 12 hour one. As long as Energy Boost is worth less than 1/3 of Birthday Cake; It's the best Booster purchase for gameplay!
- Pizza Box: There will be Pizza Slices found during your Missions and if there were no Pizza Boxes with you, the Pizza Slice will be immediately consumed and Energy will be restored to 100%.
Compare The Following Prices
The ultimate decision is upto you. The market values the ability to store a Pizza Slice more than the getting the effect of 1 Pizza Slice every 24 hours. You are free to take that "Wisdom of Crowds" or consider this a moment of getting lucky with prices.
Coffee Cup stores Coffee that will double Energy recovery rate for an hour. I use Boosters to avoid wait times; not reduce them. I have not used Risky Whiskey. Therefore I cannot say much about it. I usually have trouble getting my Skill on par with Fans. The only time I struggle with a lack of Fans is when I have to complete STARBITS Millionaire Mission which increase the minimum number of Fans required after each completed Mission.
HIVE Wallet Problems Solved by @ecency
HIVE is most certainly in need of better infrastructure if we want to onboard masses. We need more partnerships and we need to use DHF to the fullest extent to make sure that users and developers have a smooth experience on HIVE. I do not know a lot about programming or backend development. What I know is that I need to exchange the HBD from posting rewards to HIVE.
All the assets on HIVE-Engine are traded against HIVE. Liquidity for SWAP.HBD-SWAP.HIVE trades is already very low. On top of that, the cost of bridging HIVE to its 2nd layer is lower compared to other assets due to projects such as @uswap.
The great thing about decentralization of front ends and services is that there are many alternatives to take when one option falls apart. Decentralization creates room for innovation and experimentation. Without getting HIVE, it is very difficult to invest in other DAPPs that are part of HIVE. If you ever come across a service that is not working, use a website such as Hive Projects to find alternatives.
