NVIDIA and the potential of AI as a new market | Record revenues!
If we talked about companies that knew how to take advantage of their technology, I think we would mention NVIDIA. Without a doubt, it has made a difference in the development and creation of new markets, such as the sale of GPUs for cryptocurrency mining. Something that was made known with much more notoriety through blockchain technologies that involved, for example, Ethereum or Bitcoin, although it is said that for the latter the ASIC were used, which are basically prepared for mining.
Si habláramos de empresas que supieron aprovechar su tecnología creo que mencionaríamos a NVIDIA. Sin lugar a dudas ha marcado la diferencia en lo que respecta al desarrollo y creación de nuevos mercados como por ejemplo la venta de GPUs para minería de criptomonedas. Algo que se dio a conocer con mucha más notoriedad a través de tecnologías blockchain que involucraban por ejemplo a Ethereum o Bitcoin, aunque se dice que para este último se utilizaban los ASIC, que básicamente están preparados para minar.

Mientras más potente era la tarjeta, mayor hashrate disponía y por lo tanto mayores eran los cálculos que se podían hacer en el mismo tiempo. Aunque claro está, habían distintos factores que determinaban su rendimiento, como por ejemplo la estabilidad o congestión de la red.
And why are we talking about this? Well, NVIDIA is still in the race with a new market that surely more than one will have noticed. Artificial intelligence is something that is changing the paradigm of many things in all senses and that is marking a very notable advance towards the future.
¿Y por qué es que estamos hablando de esto? Pues NVIDIA sigue en carrera con un nuevo mercado que seguramente más de uno habrá notado. La inteligencia artificial es algo que está cambiando el paradigma de muchas cosas en todos los sentidos y que está marcando un avance muy notable de cara al futuro.
It is clear that this started much earlier, but not long ago we witnessed a giant leap in its popularity. We saw how ChatGPT with its spectacular GPT4 amazed us all and then saw the arrival of the various competitions that turned science fiction into reality. We also enjoyed art generated by AI at a very high speed with the requirement of telling it a few words and thus modeling in some way a figure that comes to mind. Obviously this also requires a lot of computing power, so we understand that this market has come to stay.
Sí es claro que esto comenzó mucho antes, pero no hace mucho presenciamos un salgo gigantesco en su popularidad. Vimos como ChatGPT con su espectacular GPT4 nos asombró a todos para luego ver llegar a las diversas competencias convirtiendo la ciencia ficción en realidad. También pudimos disfrutar de arte generado por IA a una velocidad muy alta con el requisito de decirle unas cuantas palabras y así modelar de alguna forma una figura que nos pase por la mente. Obviamente esto también requiere de una gran capacidad de cómputo, así que entendemos que este mercado llegó para quedarse.

Apparently NVIDIA is moving quickly in the field of computing by offering a wide range of cutting-edge technologies that will focus the industry towards a new horizon. The same company makes a sort of forecast for its next quarter, a moment when income of $16 billion dollars is expected, being a growth of 57% with respect to an annual statistic.
Al parecer NVIDIA está avanzando rápidamente en el terreno de la computación ofreciendo una gran gama de tecnologías de punta que enfocarán la industria hacia un nuevo horizonte. La misma empresa hace una suerte de pronóstico sobre su próximo trimestre, momento en el que se esperan ingresos de $16 mil millones de dólares, siendo un crecimiento del 57% respecto a una estadística anual.
