Oder 666 ist auch die Summe der Zahlen des Glückspiels Roulette (0-36), bei dem immer die Bank gewinnt. Das absolute Böse sozusagen.

In unserer Kultur lässt sich die Verwendung der Zahl 666 aber noch weiter zurückverfolgen und zwar auf das Neue Testament der Christen, wo 666 in der Apokalypse die Zahl der Bestie, des Bösen bzw. des Teufels symbolisiert.

Witzigerweise haben die Bibel-Schreiber vielleicht auch noch ein numerisches Rätsel in die Zahl verpackt, was in dem Video von Numberphile erläutert wird.

Wenn man hebräischen Buchstaben auf eine bestimmte Weise Zahlen zuordnet, ergibt der Name "Nero(n) Caesar" die Zahl 666, von den Christen (einer damals neuen politisch-religiösen Bewegung) wegen der Christenverfolgung der vielleicht am meisten gehasste Kaiser bzw. heute würde man sagen Politiker. Machthaber wurden immer schon verteufelt.

Weiters ist 666 mathematisch eine Dreieckszahl und die Summe der Magischen Konstanten eines 6x6 Magischen Quadrats.

Die Zahl 666 ist einfach eine coole Zahl.

In our culture, however, the use of the number 666 can be traced even further back to the New Testament of the Christians, where 666 in the Apocalypse symbolizes the number of the beast, evil or the devil.

Funnily enough, the Bible writers may have also packed a numerical riddle into the number, which is explained in the video by Numberphile.

If you assign numbers to Hebrew letters in a certain way, the name "Nero(n) Caesar" results in the number 666, perhaps the most hated emperor or today one would say politician by the Christians (a new political-religious movement at that time) because of the persecution of Christians. Rulers have always been demonized.

Furthermore, 666 is mathematically a triangular number and the sum of the magic constants of a 6x6 magic square.

The number 666 is just a cool number.
