Here is a shot I took of Saint John's Anglican Cathedral in Brisbane Australia, and is my entry to this week's contest.

The old church building in the heart of Brisbane CBD presents a striking contrast to the modern, bustling city that surrounds it. Its weathered stone exterior and towering spires harken back to a different era, standing in stark contrast to the sleek skyscrapers and bustling streets of the city.

Despite the passage of time, the church's grandeur has not diminished. The intricate carvings that adorn its facade are a testament to the craftsmanship of a bygone era, and the stained glass windows that line its walls continue to captivate visitors with their vivid colors and intricate designs.

The contrast of the old church building against the backdrop of the city creates a unique atmosphere. Especially at night 🙂
