Nambucca Heads from above.
Nambucca Heads Inlet, located in New South Wales, Australia, is a scenic and picturesque coastal feature that is a must see for its natural beauty. Nestled along the mid-north coast of NSW, this inlet is a prominent feature of the Nambucca region.
We spent the weekend here and it was the perfect spot to fly the drone up for a better view of the inlet. Just watch out for the birds as they like to attack the drone haha.
This inlet is formed where the Nambucca River meets the ocean, creating a meeting point of waterways that results in a stunning estuarine landscape. The river's flow combines with the tides, giving rise to an ever-changing landscape.
There is such a big difference between high tide and lowtide in the inlet the landscape really changes!
The defining feature of the Nambucca Heads Inlet is its clear, sparkling water. The pristine nature of the inlet's waterways is just amazing, with hues ranging from vibrant turquoise to deep azure. The calm waters in the bay is the perfect spot for a swim.
And the sandy beaches are great to relax with some sunbaking.
The V wall is an amazing spot to go snorkeling and watch all the fish going about their daily lives.
It is also a great spot for some fishing.
Also the rocks that line the break of the V wall on the foot path are like an outdoor art gallery, where visitors have painted the rocks with pictures, messages and memories. Which make for a unique boardwalk.
I took these photos with my DJI mini 2.
Still getting the hang of flying a drone, and working out good composition, but it's alot if fun! And practice makes perfect 🙂

What a great location. Yes, I think I could retire and hang there everyday.
Thanks for posting to our group!
It sure is a beautiful part of the world!
I'll try and get out to practise more with my drone soon so stay tuned for more posts 🙂
What a beautiful pictures with your drone!! It’s almost surrealist!!

Thank you !LOOZ
Wow, superb images from above..drones are really special!
Thank you, yes drones definitely give a totally new perspective, and alot of fun to fly around!
I cycled to Bucca on my last visit up that way. Found out that Bucca is the word for bendy. Nam is water or river. Bendy River caught well by the drone.
Oh nice, that name sums up this place perfectly then!
Always surprised by the new perspectives a drone can give to someone. Just when you thought you already fell in love with the surroundings, you get that view from the top which makes you fall in love again with everything. Also surprised by the quality of Mini 2 :) Well done and thank you for sharing such awesome pictures with us!
Thank you 🙂
Yes it's amazing to see familiar place from above. !LUV

(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoPlanning to get it for my travels too, just not sure when, haha! I'm curious though, do you need some sort of documents before flying it? I know you need approval in urban locations but what about the outdoors ones?
I wanted a drone for ages so waited until it was on sale. No documents to fly it. I just practice flying in a field to get used to it. It's alot of fun.
Birds do like to attack the drone, so one thing I have learnt is to put the drone into sports mode and shoot it straight up so the birds won't notice it so soon. Then switch it to which ever flying mode you like.
Most likely I'll wait to be on sale too, lol! Thank you for the explanation and advices. Really appreciate it! ☺️
