Flying my drone around Brennia Kottefaru Maldives.
G'day Hive,
I would like to share some drone photos from my DJI mini 2, that I took from our 5 nights at Brennia Kottefaru, in the Maldives.
We had some holiday credit from COVID that was due to expire so we had to choose a destination that would be child friendly.
We found the Maldives was an option so we thought let's tick off that bucket list destination!!
And what a relaxing holiday this was!!
Brennia Kottefaru is surrounded by white sandy beaches with crystal clear turquoise blue water.
With an average temperature between 25°c and 32°c it is perfect weather to relax with a cocktail or have a swim in the ocean.
Also we booked the over water villa which has been on our bucket list for ages!
Staying on an over water villa we can walk straight down our villa veranda into the crystal clear water for a relaxing swim or go for a snorkel to see all the fish swimming amongst the coral.
The villas were positioned perfectly for the sunrise and sunset on both sides of the island.
The best part was we went in the off season or "wet season" and took the risk and came out on top.
With one over cast day the rest were perfect weather and hardly any other holiday makers, so we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
It takes about 25 minutes to walk all the way around the island. Which is a very peaceful and beautiful walk.
The island has hermit crabs crawling along the beach and I saw a couple of baby sharks swimming in the shallow waters. And even a sea turtle popped his head up out of the water to say hello.

We were lucky not to loose our travel credit from all the cancelled flights that we booked before COVID. It's crazy that flight and tour companies can get away with not refunding cash but only offering credit instead...
None the less we got to tick of the Maldives off our bucket list and it sure was such an awesome time!
I put the drone to the test and got it up around 400 meters into the sky. To get the full shot of the island.
Nice shots, crisp and colorful aerial photos. These drone has very high altitude. I love the photos.

Yes we were lucky to get great weather! The island sure is beautiful!
