Bitstamp, the world’s longest-running crypto exchange, has announced a new partnership with financial technology giant Stripe, which is a significant move for the cryptocurrency industry. This collaboration aims to bolster Stripe’s fiat-to-crypto onramp within the European Union, to simplify consumers' purchasing process. The development was announced on August 7 via communicated via a Press release and X post by Bitstamp.

This provides users with a seamless checkout experience optimized for cryptocurrency conversion and allows near-instant settlement of cryptocurrency transactions. This partnership provides that Stripe's customizable widget be seamlessly embedded into apps and websites, providing users with an optimized and user-friendly checkout experience for cryptocurrency conversions. This widget supports various cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Stellar (XLM), and USD Coin (USDC). Bitstamp will manage the fiat-to-crypto conversion and transaction settlements, to enhance its Bitstamp-as-a-service offering and reinforce cryptocurrency's role in digital payments.
