In addition, ETH Kipu Foundation said it would train 500 students from 10 public high schools in an online Solidity course and prepare 30 instructors to provide Ethereum and blockchain training to the students. The initiative is aimed at familiarizing students with decentralized technologies and will cultivate a tech-savvy workforce capable of utilizing and contributing to the blockchain space. The students, 18 years and above will be able to develop decentralized applications (DApps) with the programming language.
Solidity, developed in 2014 is a high-level programming language used to build smart contracts and DApps on the Ethereum blockchain. It is also used in popular networks such as the BNB Smart Chain and Avalanche. ETH Kipu on the other hand is an organization dedicated to supporting the Ethereum ecosystem in Latin America.
The strong adoption and engagement with digital assets in Argentina could be linked to the country's high inflation. With a record staggering inflation rate of 276%, citizens are forced to seek alternatives to stabilize their financial futures. Buenos Aires is Argentina's capital and primate city located on the western shore of the Río de la Plata, on South America's southeastern coast.
Paula Doy, co-founder of ETH Kipu has remarked that the introduction of Ethereum and blockchain technology in high schools will give students the relevant tools to “shape the future.” Doy added:
“This initiative will open up new career opportunities for young people and place Argentina at the forefront of the global blockchain movement.”
Other individuals, analysts, and institutions have remarked on Argentina’s decision to integrate Ethereum education into its high school curriculum indicating that it is a forward-thinking approach to education. As students gain both theoretical and practical blockchain knowledge, Argentina can boast of a generation of blockchain pioneers ready to lead in the decentralized economy.
