Fascinating Insects - PREDATORY INSECTS

Good evening and best wishes to all of you, so tonight I want to share a macro photography of a fly object or its scientific name is Ommatius.

Ommatius is a type of fly belonging to the type Asilinae. This insect was very difficult for me to photograph because this type of insect is very afraid of humans, but slowly I approached it until I could tame it, then I photographed it. This type of insect still has thousands of other species. In my area, this insect is called the green-eyed fly, the name is based on the color of its eyes, on the other hand, this insect is very similar to a mosquito.

These insects are very brutal towards other members of their kind, especially towards flies, they often prey on those of their own kind, especially those that are smaller than them. Not only that, these insects are like predators, they are very intolerant of their own kind and that is the characteristic of these insects.

These insects are widespread throughout the world with a climate that supports them and can even live for a long time. Especially in tropical forests they live at larger sizes than in my picture. Following are some pictures.

This insect has eyeballs that can change color from different sides when we look at them, as in my picture above. From several sides I took pictures, the color of their eyes changes, including green and brownish.
